How to contact Shropshire Council

We have introduced different telephone numbers which means it should cost customers less to contact us now.

0345 numbers are non-geographic numbers specially designated for use by public bodies and not-for-profit organisations. They cost the same to call as standard landline numbers starting with 01 and 02. If you have an inclusive call package for calling landline numbers on your mobile or landline telephone there should be no extra charge for you to call these numbers. Otherwise your call will be charged at the same rate as calling a standard landline number.

In person

All our offices can be visited in person. Staff there can help you, or put you in contact with the person who can.

Our Customer Service Points give you access to lots of information and advice in one place – again with trained staff on hand to offer helpful, friendly guidance. Follow the link for Customer Service Point locations.

In some cases where you need confidential advice or the issue is complicated, you may need to make an appointment to see the council officer who can help you.

Website and email

All our services are available via this website 24 hours a day 7 days a week, with contact telephone numbers and email addresses. You can email us for help, information, to make a compliment, comment or complaint, or to apply for lots of the services we offer.

You can contact the Council by ringing our Customer Service Centre on 0345 678 9000 or for international callers 0044 1743 251000. Our opening hours are:

Monday 8am to 8pm
Tuesday 8am to 6pm
Wednesday 8am to 6pm
Thursday 8am to 8pm
Friday 8am to 6pm
Saturday 9am to 1pm
