Ridgway Rentals open day - 2 March 2012

Haulage rental company open day with demonstrations for cyclists of what lorry drivers can see in their side mirrors. Ridgway will demonstrate their side scan systems which allows lorry drivers to use an in cab camera to see what is on their left side when they cannot see obstacles in their mirror.
Plus other activities including:
- drive a digger
- diggers to look at and sit in
- vintage vehicles
- air ambulance, fire engine and helicopters
- hog roast

Basic cycle maintenance courses
A series of basic cycle maintenance courses are running in Ludlow, Oswestry and Shrewsbury.
These free three-hour courses (10:00am - 1:00pm) are suitable for anyone who wants to keep a bicycle in good working order. Learn how to check bicycle safety, repair a puncture and make minor adjustments to your bike to make it ready to ride.
The courses will be running on the following dates:
- 8 March 2013 Belle Vue Youth Club, Eastern Oswestry Community Centre, Oswestry
- 15 March 2013 Belle Vue Youth Club, Shrewsbury
- 22 March 2013 Rockspring Community Centre, Ludlow
- 18 April 2013 Market Hall, Shrewsbury
- 7 June 2013 Belle Vue Youth Club, Shrewsbury
- 5 July 2013 Belle Vue Youth Club, Shrewsbury

Ludlow Spring into Cycling rides
A slow and easy social cycle ride for parents of children at Ludlow schools and the general public (open to people aged 16 and over).

Long Mynd Batch Burner 48km Mountain Bike Challenge - 11 May, 2013
10:00 am - 2:00pm
A charity fundraising event in support of Norbury Primary School organised by mountain bikers and friends of the school. Covering 48km of excellent mountain biking terrain over the Long Mynd, taking in the best of the single track descents and the most challenging climbs.
£25 entry fee includes:
- Full route marking and marshalling
- Mechanical support and broom wagon
- Event centre facilities and parking
- On site catering
- Free BBQ for all participants
- Feed station on route
- Rider public liability insurance
- Event photography
- Spot prizes
- Limited edition Batch Burner mug for all entrants

The Severn Centre - Highley Sprint Triathlon, Sunday May 19 2013
The Severn Centre's very first triathlon, in partnership with Bridgnorth Triathlon Club, will consist of a 400 metre outdoor pool swim, a 17.5k undulating bike ride and a 4k hilly run.
Entry is £25.00 for BTF-affiliated members or £28.00 for non-affiliated members.
