Six Castles Cycleway - National Cycle Network Route 44
Route 44 is part of the award-winning National Cycle Network. The full route will ultimately run from Shrewsbury to Cinderford and is currently signed from Shrewsbury as far as the Herefordshire border where the route follows the National Byway as far as Leominster; the section of the route which runs through Shropshire is called the Six Castles Cycleway.
Shropshire County Council has produced a free leaflet covering the section which passes through Shrewsbury, Bishops Castle, Ludlow and Leominster. Enjoy the beautiful countryside and experience historic castles as you cycle through the peaceful, scenic lanes of South Shropshire.
