Day care for people with a disability
Please check any links made to this page.

Day care may be offered following an assessment of your care needs.
Community Services Directorate purchases Day Care from several providers. We currently have contracts with the following providers but are able to look at other alternatives in individual circumstances.
Bridge House
Bridge House is based in Telford and caters for adults under 65 with a range of disabilities. This is a respite and rehabilitation unit offering some alternative therapies and personal care i.e. bathing, physiotherapy and speech therapy.
Headway
Headway is based in Shrewsbury and is specifically for adults under 65 with an acquired brain injury. The day centre has a relaxed atmosphere but offers users a structured day. Activities include cooking, computing and group games. We also purchase care from Headway in Worcestershire and Kidderminster.
Respite Care at Belvidere Bungalow
Belvidere Bungalow is a three bedded home providing fully equipped, fully accessible, short stay accommodation with the aim of providing respite care for adults with a physical disability.
Care at the bungalow is not provided on a 24 hour basis and therefore admission is based on an assessment of individual need.
The bungalow is based on an independent living model and adults with physical disabilities staying there are encouraged to be as self caring as possible.
