If you are an adult affected by someone else’s drug and alcohol misuse NACRO Substance Misuse Carers Service offers a range of support to help you

If you are 18 or under and affected by your parents or carers drug and alcohol use, you can get help too.
The Red Cross Young Carers Project understands the difficulties young people face caring for a loved one.

Support for Families of Service Users
If your loved one is receiving treatment for their drug and alcohol use, you can also talk to staff at the substance misuse service they attend. Any information you share will remain confidential.
Please note that services will not be able to share any information on your family member unless consent has been given prior to the request.
