Financial services

The Financial Services team within the Children and Young People's Services Directorate provides a wide-ranging financial support service as follows:

• strategic management and planning in respect of the funding of the service
• management and planning of the local schools' budgets
• budgeting, monitoring and accounting for the work of the service
• financial support to schools and service managers
• reporting to the Directorate Management Team, corporate finance and members
• completion of grant claims, government returns and statutory financial statements
• management and administration of schools' internal insurance schemes
