Education Advisory Service quality mark

Are there practices in your school which are making a difference to the quality of learning and teaching or raising achievement for your pupils? If so, we want to disseminate it by posting a case study on this website.

Case Studies are eligible if they can meet any of the following standards. These have been adapted from "The Promotion and Dissemination of Good Practice" by David Woods and are all seen as being effective practice.

  • interesting and innovative: encouraging creativity and a sense of dynamism - a teacher may for example have developed a set of practices in their classroom, which works well with a specific group of learners.
  • good: developed within the school or as part of a wider learning community. This practice will have been tested against a range of professional opinion.
  • best: proven over time and embedded into the organisational patterns of the school this practice will be validated by supporting evidence, for example an Ofsted cameo of outstanding practice.

Please use the attached application form, which is available as both a Word and PDF document, if you would like your case study to be considered. This should be completed and returned to the Advisory Service using the contact details on this page.
