In most emergencies you should dial 999.

*Dial 999 and ask for the Police if:
- there is a danger to life or risk of injury
- a crime is in progress and the offender is still at the scene or has only just left
- immediate police attendance is necessary such as when a crime is obviously about to be committed

Shropshire County Council's Social Care Emergency Duty Team provide help in a crisis to vulnerable adults, children in need and their families when local daytime offices have closed. This includes during the night, on weekends and public holidays. To contact the team during these times call 0845 678 9040.
