Tune in to your local radio station for information on road closures, school closures and general information with regards to local events. This will be the best source of information with regards to snow conditions in the county.

Only travel if you absolutely have to. If you do have to travel, make sure your car has:

• blanket or sleeping bag
• torch with spare batteries
• spare warm clothing
• waterproof clothing
• shovel
• flask with a warm drink
• means of communication
• check weather forecasts through the media or at the Met Office website via the link on this page.
