The council's Environmental Maintenance teams ensure the frequent cleaning of streets, car parks, public conveniences and other public areas to remove litter, build up of leaves or any other conditions which could pose a risk to public health and safety.

Street cleaning

The council is responsible for the sweeping of streets and removal of litter.
The council undertakes regular scheduled street cleaning of roads and footpaths within towns and villages in the county which are adopted by Shropshire Council. If a street is not yet adopted by Shropshire Council the responsibility for sweeping the street lies with the developer.
