A Dog Control Order is a piece of legislation that came into force in 2007 under the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005. This law was brought in to deal with low-level 'Enviro-crime' and nuisance such as littering, graffiti and dog fouling. The Control Orders will replace the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 and the current system of bye-laws.
