Band for Facts and Figures Pages

The Shropshire Profile brings together a wide range of information about the county of Shropshire into one document.

The Shropshire Profile is divided into five sections, which can be accessed by clicking on the attachments on this page. These sections are the most up to date, as they are updated throughout the year when new data becomes available:

  • the people of Shropshire (population)
  • sustainable communities (environment, waste, energy, transport, housing, economy and skills)
  • healthier communities and older people (health)
  • safer and stronger communities (ethnicity, deprivation and crime, adult learning)
  • children and young people (childcare, early years, achievements, destinations)

You can view a copy of the Shropshire Profile 2007, by selecting the attachment, this document is produced annually in February/March.

There are separate sections for each of the five districts in Shropshire. Please follow the link to the district sections page for these.

For a copy of the 2006 Shropshire Profile follow the link on this page to the Historic Shropshire Profiles web page.

As well as a stand alone information source, the profile will form part of the background information for the review of the county and district Community Strategies 2005/6. It will also be used as information for Local Development Frameworks.
