The Shropshire Farming Study was published in 2002 and was a survey of current practices at that time, concerns and attitudes in the agricultural industry. The resulting action plan was targeted to encourage more sustainable developments.

The project was jointly funded by Shropshire County Council, Advantage West Midlands, the Countryside Agency, the District and Borough Councils and English Nature. It was carried out in 2001 and 2002, and the report was launched on 9 September 2002.
