Choir wanted at the Gateway!!

The Gateway Education and Arts Centre are on the hunt for a choir to attend their Christmas Carol concert!

The event, scheduled to take place on Friday 19 December, are looking for a choir to sing at the event from 12.30 – 1.30pm. Admission is free, with a collection in aid of The Friends of Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and a glass on mulled wine or fruit juice with a mince pie on offer to visitors.

Tea Dance at The Gateway- 18 November 2008

The Gateway Education and Arts Centre in Shrewsbury is giving dance enthusiasts the chance to step back in time at a 1940’s style Tea Dance!

On 18 November 2008 from 1.30 – 4.00pm, there will be afternoon of refreshments and live music, with optional 1940’s dress, open to everyone. Prior booking is advisable, at a cost of £8.00.

Launch of the latest Adult and Community Education (‘ace’) brochure, along with a brand new look!

Shropshire County Council’s Adult and Community Learning (ACL) supplement; ‘ace’ is packed full of exciting courses and classes. The brochure has recently been revamped to give it a fresh and contemporary style, aiming to attract a more diverse range of customers.

The ‘ace’ brochure provides something for everyone, whether it be fitness related, a creative course or learning a new language. ACL already have a loyal and much valued customer base, however with so much variety, the team are also reaching out to new learners who could be missing out on lots of unique opportunities! Maybe you have a secret desire to learn how to belly dance, speak Russian, rock climb or even learn new make-up techniques – ACL offers courses in all of these areas and more!
