This evening course will explain the role of 'link' governors with special responsibility (eg literacy, SEN) and how governors can develop an awareness of school performance issues through planned school visits.
Intended outcomes
- Consideration of the practical role and responsibilities of 'link' governors
- An understanding of good practice when visiting the school
- An awareness of the contribution made by 'link' governors to school performance monitoring and evaluation.

- explaining the roles and responsibilities of 'link' governors
- the benefits of having 'link' governors
- support and challenge the role of the 'critical friend'
- where to find information
- planned visits to school
