The Supporting People team work with providers of supported housing and housing-related support services to make sure that the services needed are provided, and are easy to access.
Supporting People providers can support:
- older people
- people with mental health problems
- people with learning disabilities
- people with a physical or sensory disability
- homeless people
- people with alcohol or drug problems
- offenders or people at risk of offending
- young people
- women at risk of domestic violence
- people with HIV/AIDS
- homeless families with support needs
- refugees
- teenage parents
- travellers
The Supporting People Team is responsible for making sure that all providers are able to provide the services that are needed. They do this by collecting information on how well the service is meeting the needs of their service users, overall performance, quality assessment and regular monitoring. This is compared with providers in other areas of the country to make sure our services meet the needs of the service users and the strategic aims of the Supporting People programme.
