Shropshire Council and Marches Energy Agency are reminding people that summer might not be over but now is a good time to prepare homes for winter with Keep Shropshire Warm.
Councillor Mal Price, the council’s Cabinet Member for Housing, said “It might still feel like summer, but I’d encourage people to start thinking about having loft and cavity wall insulation now, so they can get the job done before the winter arrives. Insulation saves a huge amount of energy, and helps keep household bills down. People can start saving literally hundreds of pounds every year on their fuel bills for little outlay and they may even be eligible for free insulation measures”.
Jo Meakin, Keep Shropshire Warm Senior Project Manager, added:
“Homeowners and private tenants can beat the rush by contacting us now for advice on loft and cavity wall insulation. Prices are really affordable for most people and some households may even qualify for free insulation, so now is the time to call us on 01743 277123 or visit www.keepshropshirewarm.org “
Keep Shropshire Warm is a Shropshire Council initiative, delivered throughout the county by Marches Energy Agency and endorsed by other public-sector partners.
