Shropshire Council recently encouraged people to have their say on proposals to improve Shrewsbury town centre.
Proposals were available for viewing at several locations between 13 March 2009 and 17 April 2009.
The proposals are in two parts:
- Part 1 focuses on proposals to change the road layout in the West End of town, and includes plans to combine the Bridge Street and St Austin's Street car parks. These plans are designed to simplify traffic movements while enhancing the environment for pedestrians and cyclists.
- Part 2 deals with plans to improve crossing facilities for cyclists and pedestrians on the Welsh Bridge, as part of the Connect2 project.
The feedback received is now being analysed with a view to deciding the next steps.
The closing date for feedback has now passed, however you can still view the proposals which are attached to this page.
