Banner, bunting or Christmas lights on the highway application
If you would like to erect a banner, bunting or Christmas lights on or over the public highway, you need to apply for a licence.
You can apply by:
- Printing and completing the application form attached to this page and posting it to the relevant Divisional Office (contact addresses are provided on the form).
- Completing the on-line form on this web page.

Before submitting your application, please check with your district / borough council's planning department whether or not planning permission is required.
