Education
We have a wide variety of resources available to schools and colleges covering the whole 11+ age group, from transition of partnership primary schools in year 7 through to drink/drug driving in year 13. These resources are mainly teacher led and take the form of DVD, CD-ROM, video, play scripts, verse, news items, and many others. The latest resource list is available to download from this page.
Presentations
Drink/drug driving and passenger peer pressure are just some of the topics covered in the presentations for the 16+ age range. The presentation allows the young person to understand 'personal risk' and responsibility through discussions about drinking and driving, speed, seat belt wearing and learning to drive. We also have PowerPoint presentations delivered by the Road Safety Team aimed at all year groups and covering many topics. The latest presentation list can be downloaded from this page.
Theatre in education
Every year we arrange topical theatre productions for secondary schools and colleges, again from year seven up to year 13. Please contact the Road Safety Education Team via the details on this page for the latest availability.
We can also supply school drama groups with play scripts containing a road safety theme. These can be used as scripted course work for performing arts courses, and we would also support groups wishing to use these plays as peer delivery to other schools.
Road Show
This year we have introduced two types of road show into our road safety programme, targeting pre-drivers, drivers and passengers and aimed at year 10+. These programmes are designed to fit into any school or college timetable. Please contact the Road Safety Education Team via the details on this page for more details.
