Applying for a road closure
This page will provide you with the background information needed to submit an application to the local co-ordination manager.
How to apply
You can apply by:
- Completing the on-line form by following the link on this page.
- Printing and completing the pdf form attached to this page. Please note: when the application form is completed, it will need to be submitted to your local divisional office - all of the addresses are included on the form.
The attached form should be completed by the applicant and forwarded to the council at least three months prior to the proposed closure date. Completion will provide most if not all of the information required to make a decision on the viability of the proposal.
Please note, there is a £1250 charge for your application.

Data protection statement
The information you provide will be held under the Data Protection Act 1998. It will be used solely for the purposes of processing this application and will be retained for a maximum of five years. Information may be disclosed to local councils, the police or the emergency services for the purpose of verifying the information you have given and to ensure that the necessary traffic management arrangements are in place.
