Integrated working is when everyone supporting children and young people work together effectively to put the child at the centre, meet their needs and improve their lives.
Using integrated working, practitioners can:
- identify needs earlier
- deliver a coordinated package of support that is centred on the child or young person, and
- help to secure better outcomes for them.
With a population of 287,900 (with over 60,000 young people) and at only 0.9 persons per hectare, the County is one of the most sparsely populated and has vast areas of uninhabited land. Delivering services to people living in small settlements and isolated dwellings is one our greatest challenges. Shropshire Council and partners share a clear ambition to improve significantly the quality of life for Shropshire's children and young people by working together.
