New Museum in your School Sessions
The Ancient Greeks and The Ancient Olympics.
The Ancient Greeks session is a ‘hands-on’ experience for children in the classroom led by an experienced museum educator and
supported by a wide selection of original and replica artefacts from the period.

Suitable for KS2. Supports the QCA History Unit 14 “Who were the ancient Greeks?”

The Ancient Olympics is suitable for KS2 and supports the QCA History Unit 14.7 “What do the sources tell us about the
importance of the Olympic games to the ancient Greeks?” and Unit 15.6 “In what ways are the modern Olympics like
the ancient ones?”

The session is designed to be combined with the NEW Ancient Greece session to provide activities for the whole day.
This session does not stand alone and is only suitable as a follow up to Ancient Greece.
