Journey to Work
The Journey to work booklet is a tool that should be used to help people in the community in taking small steps back into work. Whether the step is some debt advice or interest in a local course, this guide should be a helpful first step.
What is the ‘Journey to work’ guide?
The 'Journey to work' guide was developed through the Shrewsbury Neighbourhood Employment Skill Plan (NESP) group and has had contributions of voluntary and statutory sector organisations from across Shrewsbury to make the booklet.
The guide has been designed as an aide to people that work at grass roots and are in touch with people in the community on a regular basis, although it is also useful as a guide to local services available in your area.
The Journey to work guide has been compiled to reflect the issues faced by many people that have found themselves out of work for a long period of time, and demonstrates some of the steps that are taken before reaching employment.
