What is The Gateway?

The Gateway Education and Arts Centre is a purpose-built and well-equipped centre used for courses, training, presentations, meetings and conferences.

The centre has a series of multi-purpose rooms, a small theatre, a larger conference room, art and pottery rooms.

Courses at the Gateway

The Gateway supports a wide range of day and evening classes as well as midweek, weekend and holiday courses. Courses include music, yoga, painting and drawing, crafts and languages.

The centre was a gift to the people of Shrewsbury and Shropshire from Roy Fletcher and is maintained by Shropshire Council.

Centre opening hours:

Monday - Friday 9am - 9.30pm (September-July)
Monday - Friday 9am - 4.30pm (August)
Weekends vary (please contact the centre for opening times)
