Business Support

Business Support

County Training, in partnership with the Learning and Skills Council, is offering fully funded training to Shropshire Businesses in an attempt to help them improve their productivity and competitiveness by ensuring that staff have the skills they need to perform to the best of their ability. If your business employs staff aged 16 - 24 or if you are about to recruit new staff, also aged 16 - 24, there may be funding available to train them.

A wide range of training and development programmes are on offer, aimed at upskilling the workforce. The training will focus on the needs of businesses by improving employees' skills in order to achieve business objectives as well as personal development goals.

Working with Businesses
County Training aims to meet the needs of employers in providing quality training that makes a positive difference to the business. Training will be tailored to ensure that it meets the identified needs.

Our staff are well qualified and experienced in their specialist vocational areas and training is delivered to individuals and groups in the workplace or at a learning centre, at times to suit your business operation.

NVQs are for life and will show that your employees have achieved a nationally recognised standard in their profession. A variety of training is available ranging from ‘Skills for Life’ Literacy and Numeracy, ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) to NVQs levels 2 ,3 and 4.

There are a wide range of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) available including:

  • Administration
  • Care
  • Childcare
  • Customer Services
  • Hairdressing
  • Hospitality and Catering
  • IT
  • Management
  • Sales and Telesales
  • team leading
  • Warehousing

There is no requirement for your employees to attend classes as the NVQ Assessor will visit your workplace. The Assessor observes your employees carrying out their normal daily tasks within the workplace to build a portfolio of evidence.
