Digital Skills Programme for Shropshire residents
The Digital Skills Programme for residents of Shropshire is available at the following libraries. Please contact the individual branch to register your interest.

This support is available for anyone meeting any of the following criteria:
- Aged 65 and over
- Live alone
- Provide unpaid care for a friend or family member or receive formal or informal care
- Have a disability or health condition
- Are in receipt of Pension Credit or other means-tested benefit, or a low income
The programme offers one-to-one support from an experienced member of staff or volunteer through a weekly one hour session, for eight to ten weeks. Participants will be supported in learning about:
- How to use their own device to search online
- Email
- Online safety
- Social media
- Documents and storage
- Photographs
We can also purchase a device and WIFI for people in need (there is specific criteria for this). To qualify for free equipment, the learner must fulfil at least two of the following criteria:
- Aged 65 and over
- In receipt of pension credit
- Have a long-term condition
- Live alone
- Have no access to broadband and/or a device at home

IT facilities in Shropshire Libraries
All Shropshire Libraries branches offer the following for public use. Library staff are happy to assist where they can, or signpost to other local services where more help is available.
- PCs with internet access and Microsoft Office
- Printing (charges apply)
- Scanners
- WIFI
