How do I join?
Just bring along something with your name and address on it and your foster carers card. You can borrow up 25 books (and up to 6 story cassettes or CDs) for twelve weeks at a time.
Introduce the children you look after to the library
Borrow books for them to enjoy in your home.
Children, young people and their carers are very important to us.

There's no charge for books lost or damaged by looked-after children.

At your local library you'll find...

  • all kinds of information
  • books on childcare
  • details of college courses
  • computers with fast internet access

Some libraries hold homework clubs and many hold rhymetimes and storytimes.
