How do I join?
Just bring along something with your name and address on it and your foster carers card. You can borrow up to 25 books (and up to 6 story CDs) for twelve weeks at a time.
Introduce the children you look after to the library
Borrow books for them to enjoy in your home.
Children, young people and their carers are very important to us.
There is no charge for books lost or damaged by looked-after children.
At your local library you'll find...

- CDs, videos and DVDs
- all kinds of information
- books on childcare
- teenage sections for older readers
- details of college courses
- 'how to' and lifestyle books for young people moving towards independence
- computers with free internet access
Some libraries hold homework clubs and many hold rhyme times and story times.
