What you said. I have found the Books on Prescription leaflets incredibly helpful.
What action has been taken. In addition to the Books on Prescription scheme, copies of NHS leaflets are available for people to take free of charge.
What you said. Get Online course is fantastic and I have learnt so much. I can’t wait to come back next week.
What action has been taken. People’s network computers are free to use in the library. We are currently running free Get Online courses with the Community Council of Shropshire. Please ask for more information.
What you said. I would like for all the foreign language films to have a sticker warning ‘Not in English’.
What action has been taken. We have a great collection of English and foreign language films to borrow. Information about the language and subtitles is available at the back of every DVD case underneath the film’s blurb.
What you said. Visiting Market Drayton Library on Wednesday, I was delighted to see a group of children and parents singing along to nursery rhymes. How encouraging to witness the library being used in such a vibrant and community-conscious way.
What action has been taken. Market Drayton Library runs fortnightly Rhymetime sessions for babies and toddlers. There are holiday craft activities and storytimes for older children. We also provide a wide range of events for adults.
What you said. I really like this new idea of sending out emails before the books are due back.
What action has been taken. Shropshire Libraries has introduced this service to remind people by email when their books are due back. Please ask the staff if you would like to receive this service
