From time to time libraries around the county hold sales of old library books and other items that have been withdrawn from stock. These will include items that:

• are no longer in excellent physical condition
• have been superseded by newer copies or editions
• have been donated but are not suitable for stock
• are surplus to requirements.

Information about disposal criteria are contained within the Library Stock Management Policy. Material that is not suitable for sale, or remains unsold, is recycled whenever possible.

List of items of higher value may also be produced and offers will be invited. Individual items can be sent to any Shropshire Libraries branch library for inspection and/or collection.
