Activities for children at Oswestry Library

Especially for children and young people - Oswestry Library offers the following ...

  • a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books, DVDs and storytapes
  • Rhymetime - free fun singing sessions for pre-school children, held every other Monday afternoon during term time (1.30 to 2.00 p.m. for toddlers and 2.15 - 2.45 p.m. for babies up to 18 months old).

  • Bookstart storytime every Friday in term time, 2.00 - 2.30 pm
  • free holiday storytime and activity sessions throughout the year
  • collection point for Bookstart bookbags
  • Bookquest - annual visits to local primary schools with special book collections
  • class visits to the library and, at your request, visits by a librarian to your club, preschool group or school

Please note that there may be some disruption to normal services during June, July and August while the library moves to its new premises. Please contact the library to check on any of the above sessions during this time.
