About the service
Shropshire Libraries provides an inclusive, responsive and accessible library and information service, meeting the needs and demands of Shropshire's communities, residents and visitors. The aim is to make this website and all the published information about the service as clear and easy to use as possible. - Struggling to find your next good read? Keen to share reading recommendations? With the Shropshire Winter Read 2010 read four books and jot down what you thought of them. There is a prize draw to win £30 worth of book tokens.
- With encouragement from library poetry champion Sally Richards, local school girl Emily Mouland has won a top prize in a national poetry competition. Her prize winning poem 'Winter Where I Live' is attached to this page.
- The recent haiku competition attracted around 170 entries. Follow the link on this page to see the winners and the runners-up.
- A Local History Centre has opened at Craven Arms Library. This follows lots of hard work by the volunteers of the new Craven Arms and District History Group.
- Books in Polish. Lokalna biblioteka można bezpłatnie skorzystać z komputera i książki w języku Polskim. [Your local library can provide you with free computer access and books in Polish] - books in other languages are also available or can be provided on request.
