Bridgnorth Visitor Information Centre is joint funded by Shropshire County Council and Bridgnorth District Council and is managed by the Principal Librarian, South Shropshire Library Area. The Centre has a wide range of information on all sorts of topics both local and further afield and the staff are able to answer questions about all of the following - and much more besides:-

• Attractions and Places of Interest
• Activities such as riding and quad biking
• Events
• Accommodation - a Bed Booking Service operates for accommodation both in the local area and throughout the country
• Transport enquiries especially Bus Timetables
• Churches and Church Services
• Shops, Businesses, restaurants and Pubs
• Estate Agencies and information about the local area for people thinking of re-locating
• Detailed information for those thinking of starting up B&B or self-catering
• Brochures covering the whole country for local people planning their holidays
• For sale - guide books, OS maps, souvenirs and gifts
• Also Box Office for the local theatre

In the recent Bridgnorth Market Town Destination Benchmarking Survey (May - September 2007), Bridgnorth VIC scored very highly. The survey was carried out in order to acquire some reactions to visitor attractions, services, shops, car parking, toilets etc. The resultant data will be used long term to identify projects, which will help the town to achieve its full potential. Opinions on the VIC, which included comments on the quality of the service offered and the usefulness of the information supplied, were the highest rated in the whole survey.
