Do you live in Whitchurch, Prees or the surrounding villages? This is your chance to get involved in decisions affecting your community.

Action: Whitchurch and Prees is a pilot series of meetings held four times a year that gives people in the Whitchurch, Prees and surrounding villages a chance to meet with local councillors, get involved in decisions affecting their community and help decide how the committee spends its budget.

Action: Whitchurch and Prees is one of five local joint committee pilots that have been meeting in Shropshire for the past year plus.

The Shropshire Council Implementation Executive recently agreed that, following the success of the pilots, each should continue for at least another 12 months, and that six further local joint committees should also be set up.

Next meeting - 17 September at Tilstock Village Hall at 7.00pm

There will be a chance for people to suggest how the committee should spend its budget of £40,000 over the next year, to help improve the area.

  • Tuesday 24 March 2009 at 7.00pm. Venue to be confirmed
