Action: Craven Arms and Rural

Do you live in Craven Arms or the surrounding area? This is your chance to get involved in decisions affecting your community.

'Action: Craven Arms and Rural' is a pilot series of meetings held four times a year that gives people in the area a chance to meet with local councillors, get involved in decisions affecting their community and help decide how the committee spends its budget.

It covers the following villages and parishes: Abdon and Heath; Bitterley; Bromfield; Clee St Margaret; Craven Arms; Culmington; Diddlebury; Hopton Cangeford; Stoke St Milborough; Munslow; Onibury; Stanton Lacy, Wheathill, Bedstone and Bucknell, Hopesay, Wistanstow and Clunbury.

The committee has a delegated budget of £20,000 - calculated on the population of the area - that can be spent on local issues.

Action: Corvedale will meet for the first time in June 2008.

It is one of eleven local joint committees that are now meeting regularly across Shropshire.

Next meeting

Wednesday 25 June at Craven Arms Community Centre starting at 7.00pm

All local people are encouraged to come along and say what they feel are the important issues facing the local community, and what action needs to be taken to improve the area.

Future meetings

Meetings are also due to be held in September, January and March. Details will appear here once they are confirmed.

Further information will be available here soon.
