Museum collections

At the heart of our work are the county collections. Without our local museums very little of the evidence for Shropshire's our natural and human history would survive in the public sphere. The specimens and objects which make up our collections have been built up of many years largely through the generosity of local people. They cover a wide range of subjects from local archaeological finds to exotic ethnographic souvenirs.
