"Interpretation is a process that reveals meanings. Its application encourages us to see the value and understand the significance of the everyday and extraordinary things that make up our world."
The Project
Shropshire Council launched Sharing the best of Shropshire, an interpretation strategy celebrating Shropshire's culture, heritage, landscape and people 2006 - 2011. Writing this document was the last thing on the 'to do' list for the Interpreting Shropshire Project. Following this the Council secured new European funding to launch the Sharing the best of Shropshire project. This picked up where the Interpreting Shropshire Project left off.
The project is about helping develop better quality, more confident interpretation. We want the people who visit Shropshire for its historic market towns and beautiful countryside to be inspired by the county's unique culture, nature and history. Sharing the Best of Shropshire is working to achieve this.
Sharing the Best of Shropshire is funded by the European Regional Development Fund Objective 2 and Shropshire Council.
