The Shropshire Music Service offers:
The team of high quality talented music teachers work with many thousands of young musicians each week on a wide range of orchestral, band and 'pop' instruments and a wide range of music curriculum lessons, workshops, festivals and other activities during the year.
In primary schools from September 2008 lessons may be commissioned by the school and information about the availability of instrumental lessons will come from your school.
In secondary schools from September 2008 lessons may be commissioned by schools who will make their own charging arrangements or where this is not the case, parents will contract directly with the music service.
Where lessons are offered directly to parents, there will usually be 32 lessons spread unequally over the three school terms usually on the school premises. Some teaching may take place at area music centres.
