Shropshire Council aims to help older people continue living at home.
We run day centres throughout the county, providing opportunity for older people to socialise and meet friends.
Our day centres can also provide support for family carers.
The day centres are:
- Bradbury Day Centre - Whitchurch
- Meres Day Centre - Ellesmere
- Helena Lane Day Centre - Ludlow
Can I attend a day centre?
If you are 65 years and over and are interested in attending one of our centres, you will need to have an assessment by our Social Work Team. Our team will assess whether your needs will be best met by day care.
Members of the day centre can take part in activities and day trips which are organised in consultation with them.
All staff are trained and work to nationally approved professional standards. Transport to and from the day centre will often be organised as part of the service and meals can be provided along with drinks and snacks.
Details of social care charges for day and residential care are available please follow the Social Care charges link for more information.
