Illegal parking
Shropshire Council advises motorists to observe parking restrictions when parking their vehicle for example on double yellow lines, Blue Badge bays, disabled bays and loading bays.
How do I report illegal parking?
We need members of the public to let us know about instances of illegal parking. You can report problems to us via our Customer Service Centre on 0345 678 9019 or by completing the Illegal parking online report form on this page.
It is important that you gather as much information as possible, for example where the vehicle is parked, vehicle registration number, time of day the parking occurs and what type of illegal parking is taking place. For more information on contravention of parking restrictions please see the attached document Policies for the enforcement and cancellation of Penalty Charge Notices.
Please note that due to the volume of illegal parking reports that we receive, we will not respond to, or provide feedback on your individual report. We will, however, investigate the matter and use the information you provide to target our resources in the most appropriate way. It would help us in our enquiries if you could provide your name and contact details, in case we need to obtain some further information from you, however you can remain anonymous if you wish.
