Shropshire County Council’s online planning register enables you to:
View current and previous planning applications
On receipt of a valid planning application details of the application and any plans or documents submitted as part of the application will be displayed on the online planning register within five working days of receipt. The register is updated every 24 hours.
The online planning register allows you to view all minerals, waste and county matter applications, all outstanding applications or enter search criteria to display specific applications.
Detailed information about the application is displayed including key dates, consultation responses, officer reports. plans, forms and drawings can also be viewed by double clicking the relevant attachment.

How can I comment on a planning application?
You can submit a comment on a planning application even if you have not been directly consulted by the council. You can submit comments on planning applications in three ways;
- using the online form
- in writing
Accessing the online comment form
The online comment form is accessed via the online planning register. Once you have located the application you want to comment on, click the ‘have your say’ link. An online form will appear, you can then enter your contact details and your comments. You are able to print or save a copy of your comments. If you have provided an email address you will receive an email confirming receipt of your comments.
Email comments
Comments can be emailed to the Planning Development Control team by following the contact details link on this page. Please include the planning application reference number and the location in your email.
Comments by letter
Comments by letter should be addressed the Planning Development Control Section, address details are available via the contact details link on this page. Please include the planning application reference number and the location in your letter.
What happens once my comments have been received?
Details of comments received are displayed on the council’s online planning register, personal details including signatures, phone numbers and email addresses are removed. You may be contacted by Planning Development Control staff to discuss your comments.
Planning Officers will prepare a report to assess the planning issues raised by the proposal and make a recommendation to approve or refuse the application. Comments received on the application are included in the report. Officer reports are available on the online planning register within five working days of the planning committee.
Minutes of previous planning committee are available by following the link to committee services, they are usually available within five working days of the committee that approved them.
Copies of the decision notice issued are available to view from the online planning register.
