Most, if not all alterations, extensions and new building work should comply with the national building regulations.
It is important that if you intend to carry out building work you seek advice from our Building Control team at an early stage before you start the work.
This will establish whether your proposals are subject to the requirements of building regulations and whether or not you will need to make an application.
Shropshire Building Control brings together the building control departments of Bridgnorth, north Shropshire, Shrewsbury, south Shropshire and Oswestry into one cohesive partnership, sharing resources and expertise to provide a modern, flexible building control service.
We will ensure that your project does and will conform to these regulations by issuing a completion certificate when the project is finished.
The completion certificate is very important as it confirms that the property/building complies with the building regulations.
