It is a requirement for all Local Planning Authorities to prepare and maintain a ‘Local Development Scheme' (LDS). The LDS is the ‘Project Plan’ that explains the documents the Council will prepare as part of the Local Development Framework (LDF) over the forthcoming three-year period. It also sets out the resources the council will require and the timetable for each document. The LDS will be kept up to date - considering the need to revise it on, at least, an annual basis.
