What is a Habitat Regulation Assessment (HRA)?
The Habitat Regulation Assessment (often referred to as ‘Appropriate Assessment’) plays an important role in protecting important European habitats from inappropriate development. It is a legal requirement for council's to produce a HRA alongside the planning policy documents it prepares.
Habitat Regulation Assessment - Stage 2 Report
As part of the preparation of Shropshire's Core Strategy, a HRA assessment has been undertaken. This report is available to view and download on this page. The Stage 2 report follows on from the initial screening report which was subject to consultation in April 2009. The screening report is also available to download.
