Mineral Resources DPD Submission - representations received

As part of the development of the Mineral Resources Development Plan Document (DPD) the council conducted a consultation period between 27 October and 8 December 2006 on the submission version of this document. This consultation has now ended.

The consultation asked respondents whether they thought the Mineral Resources DPD was a 'sound' document and asked for comments to be made against a set of nine 'tests of soundness'. Within the consultation period the council received a total of 88 'duly made' representations from 22 different respondents. Of the representations received 32 considered the DPD to be 'sound', whilst 56 considered the document to be 'unsound' against one or more of the nine 'tests of soundness'.

You can view each representation received by following the appropriate links on this page. You can also view a summary of the representations received by following the relevant attachment on this page. This summary indicates, amongst other things:

  • who has made the representation
  • the organisation the comment is made on behalf of and,
  • a summary of the actual comments made and which soundness test the comments relate to

All the representations have now been registered and copies will be sent to each library and district council office in Shropshire. All the representations will now be sent to the appointed planning inspector for him to assess as part of the 'examination' of the Mineral Resources DPD. More information on the 'examination' is available by following the link on this page.
