Community-led planning
The vision for Broseley is found in the Core Strategy Policy CS3, and is as follows:
"Broseley will have development that balances environmental constraints with meeting local needs."
In addition, the Broseley Town Plan sets out the local community’s vision for the town, as follows:
"To build a vibrant and thriving community with sustainable, high-quality services"
In order to achieve these visions a place plan has been prepared specifically for Broseley and its surrounding hinterland. The Broseley and Surrounding Area Place Plan identifies the priorities for investment and infrastructure within the local area.
Evidence has been collected from a number of local sources in order to identify the local priorities for Broseley and the surrounding hinterland. These include community responses made on the Shropshire Local Development Framework (LDF), comments made at local joint committees and at Community Toolkit events, and from parish and town plans.

Updating place plans
The place plan is a 'live' document, meaning that it will be updated annually, although in the meantime the council would like to hear any views people may have. This regular update will allow the place plan to reflect any changes to local priorities, for instance through the preparation of town and parish plans.
