Rosalie Inskip Music Trust

The purpose of this trust is simple, to help music students of any age and who are resident in Shropshire with their music studies. Rosalie Inskip is regarded as one of Shropshire’s finest musicians, on her death in 1991 she left a large bequest to the Shropshire County Director of Music to support music. At the request of the director the bequest was established as a trust and administered by Shropshire County Council.

The trust has supported talented musicians to develop their skills on a regional or national stage. The trust has also helped schools develop performance art projects and supported county wide music initiatives. The above are examples for the types of project that the trust can support, these are not the only types and each application will be assessed on merit.

All applications for support should be made by completing the application form.

It is important that a copy of the request is sent to the Head of the Shropshire Music Service. The Head of the Music Service will consider each request and will offer the Trustees a recommendation to help their deliberations. Please copy any requests to The Shropshire Music Service, The Music and Art Centre, Long Meadow, Bayston Hill, Shrewsbury SY3 0NU.
