Payment for a civil marriage ceremony or civil partnership ceremony at an approved venue in Shropshire

Fees until 31st March 2010
Getting married at the Shropshire Register Office or in any of the Registration Service ceremony rooms situated in Ludlow, Oswestry, Wem, Bridgnorth and Bishop's Castle
Notice of marriage (fee per person): £30.00
Fee payable one month in advance of the ceremony (total fee): £40.00
Marriage certificate at time of registration (cost per certificate) £3.50
Getting married at an approved venue in Shropshire
Notice of marriage (fee per person): £30.00
Fee payable one month in advance of the ceremony (total fee):
- For marriages taking place on Monday to Friday: £265.00
- For marriages taking place on a Saturday: £290.00
- For marriages taking place on a Sunday or Bank Holiday (excluding Christmas day and Good Friday): £335.00

Fee payable one month in advance of the ceremony (total fee): £40.00

Notice of marriage (fee per person): £33.50
Fee payable one month in advance of the ceremony (total fee):
- For marriages taking place on Monday to Friday: £280.00
- For marriages taking place on a Saturday: £305.00
- For marriages taking place on a Sunday or Bank Holiday (excluding Christmas day and Good Friday): £350.00
There is a charge of £3.50 per certificate purchased on the day of the ceremony. Additional copies can be paid for and ordered in advance of the ceremony. In addition, further copies can be ordered following the proceedings using the on-line form on our page about ordering copy certificates.
Fees must be paid one month in advance of the date of the marriage or partnership registration. Payment of this fee does not guarantee the event taking place. This is subject to all legal preliminaries that are the responsibility of the individual, being completed as required.
The Registration Service will acknowledge receipt of your payment within seven days of receiving it.
