The Resources Directorate helps Shropshire County Council achieve the best for the people of Shropshire. It aims to improve cost effectiveness and performance and raise standards of service delivery. It does this by taking account of findings from internal and external audits and inspections, best value and other value-for-money reviews.

The Resources Directorate contributes to the overall performance of Shropshire County Council. It provides quality support services to councillors and employees across all directorates that deliver services directly to local people. It also co-ordinates overall allocation and targeting of resources to priority services.
