If your child is in Year 6 (born between 1 September 1997 and 31 August 1998) they are due to transfer to secondary school in September 2009. You will need to make an application before 7 November 2008
Here are the times of the open days and evenings of the Shropshire secondary schools. You are invited to attend with your child to look around the schools and meet the staff and pupils.

    Shrewsbury Area
  • Belvidere:
    • 13 October 7.00pm-9.00pm
  • Grange: 9 October 7.00pm-9.00pm and 10 October 10.00 am - 12 pm
  • Meole Brace: 1 October 9.00am-12.00pm and 5.30pm-8.00pm
  • Priory: 7 October 9.00am-12.00pm and 7.00pm-9.00pm
  • Sundorne: 15 October 9.00am-12.00pm and 6.00pm-8.00pm
  • Wakeman: 2 October 7.00pm-9.00pm

    South Shropshire
  • Bishop's Castle, Community College: 22 October 6.30pm-9.00pm
  • Bridgnorth Endowed: 23 September 6.00pm-9.00pm (Parking - both car parks). Also 14 & 16 October and 4 & 5 November 9.15am-12.00pm (please ring for an appointment)
  • Oldbury Wells: 25 September 6.00pm-9.00pm (parking at east side). Also 29 & 30 September 9.30am-12.00pm (please ring for an appointment)
  • Church Stretton: 8 October 7.00pm-9.00pm. Also 9 & 10 October 9.30am-11.00am
  • Idsall: 15 October 9.30am-11.30am and 6.30pm-8.30pm

  • Sir John Talbot's: 8 October 6.00pm-8.30pm (Talk by Head at 6pm) Use Leisure Centre Entrance off Heath Road
  • Thomas Adams: 16 October, Tours 10.30am and 1.30pm Open Evening 7.15pm-9.00pm

The Blessed Robert Johnson Catholic School in Wellington, Telford. There are no catholic secondary schools in Shropshire Local Authority's area. Their open evening will take place on 8 October from 6.30pm-900pm.
